Sandy is currently the Mental Health Promotion / Suicide Prevention Coordinator. She has worked in various public health capacities for over 20 years and coordinated numerous projects, including the Hennepin County (MN) Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Project, a Perinatal HIV Prevention Project, and the Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) and Perinatal Council for a 23-county region in California.
Positions she has held include: Sr. Health Promotion Specialist for the Hennepin County Human Services and Public Health Department, Regional Perinatal Coordinator for NE California, Program Specialist for the California Department of Health Services, Training Coordinator for the California Birth Defects Monitoring Program, and Cancer Information Service Director for Minnesota and the Dakotas.
Sandy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, movies, walking, biking, and gardening (when no weeds are involved).
