Roger Brubaker, PreventionLane Intern
Roger Brubaker is originally from Pennsylvania but has called Oregon home for over ten years. Before coming to the Prevention team, Roger worked as an arborist, taught natural resource science at an alternative high school for at-risk youth, served in the kingdom of Thailand as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer and worked with domestic violence offenders as a group facilitator in a batterer intervention program.

Roger recently completed his Master of Public Health at Oregon State University where he concentrated his studies on the epidemiology of family violence. In his role with the Prevention team, he is excited to collaborate with community partners to eliminate suicide, reduce mental health stigma and promote positive mental health for all Lane County residents.

In his free time, Roger likes exploring the Oregon backcountry with his wife, biking, reading and working on his herbarium of native plants.
