Rebekah King began volunteering with the prevention team in March 2016 after graduating from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Services. During this program, she had the opportunity to complete internships at the Trauma Healing Project and Volunteers in Medicine, two local agencies serving people in Eugene and Springfield.
With PreventionLane, Rebekah has been a key contributor in a variety of projects, particularly in design of several infographics and other educational materials, the program for the Mind Your Mind Conference, and several other efforts with the team.
Rebekah is currently working on an online Master of Public Health with the University of Montana. She has an interest in chronic disease prevention and hopes to expand her knowledge and skills in the area of health communication while volunteering with PreventionLane.
While having lived in Colorado, Idaho, and California, she currently lives in Eugene and has fallen in love with the Pacific Northwest. In her spare time, she enjoys backpacking, rock climbing, sewing, website design, and reading a good book over a cup of tea.
