What is “prevention” and why is it important?
Prevention has been defined as “an active process of creating conditions and/or personal attributes that promote the well-being of people” (Lofquist, 1983). We believe prevention is all connected. This belief is why we address multiple risk factors & protective factors throughout each of our program areas.
