2010 National Conference on Problem Gambling: Prevention Showcase

Welcome, conference participants!

college students and gambling

Whether you're in your hotel room at the conference, or wading through a bunch of materials back at your office, or just happened to have stumbled onto this page, we're glad you came here to visit.

The following materials are resources that we shared during the Prevention Showcase, and hope these will be helpful to you. We like to keep things free, and in the spirit of prevention, want to keep searching for what will work. As long as you source us for our material (preferably with a link back to our website), feel free to use what material best suits your target group and situation.

Do you have something you'd like to share with us? Have you got ideas, suggestions, or feedback? Please feel free to contact us.

  • summary of PGAP, including successes and challenges

Deal or No Dice" Educational Tool

Do kids you know watch the popular show? Lane County Problem Gambling Prevention has created an innovative educational version of the game to help introduce the topic of problem gambling and increase awareness. Instead of all luck, as the real game would demonstrate, students get to participate in a trivia version of the game – with of course some luck involved!
