Brian is the epidemiologist for Lane County Public Health and Trillium Community Health Plan, a coordinated care organization. In this role he works to advance the statewide healthcare reform effort to achieve the “Triple Aim”: improved population health, enhanced individual care and controlled costs. A self-admitted “data geek,” Brian enjoys making sense of numbers and applying,  science to help tell the story of what keeps us healthy in Lane County.

Brian obtained a Master in Public Health from Oregon State University. His training emphasizes health promotion and education, program evaluation, and research methods.

Prior to joining Lane County Public Health, he worked as a Research Associate and Project Coordinator designing interactive multimedia health education programs. Funded by the National Institutes of Health, he supported the design and evaluation through clinical trials of 17 award-winning projects.  He currently serves on the Board of the Oregon Public Health Association.

A Northwest native and avid bike commuter, Brian cycles to work year round.He enjoys camping and wandering the backcountry trails of Oregon whenever possible.
